Pictures Single

So here is the surprise, a new FREE track for you all!

Early last year I spoke to Musician/ Composer and good friend Joseph Alexander about potentially working together. I explained to him I’d written a piece of music about my recent trip back to my home town Bournemouth and how my journey back to London was delayed because of a storm we had.

I had mentally prepared myself to leave my loved ones behind once again, and the feelings it entails. But then I found myself not going anywhere. I had an unusual experience of being home sick, whilst still being at home. It was something that took me several months to process. Anyway, the first draft of this song came out of that.

I sent Joe and early demo of the song, within a few days he told me he had already begun working on the track and wanted my opinion of what he had done. On my first listen I was in an emotional vice, the song had taken this whole new form still maintaining the feeling I had experience several month ago, however with the addition of the strings it was enhance. Joe had managed to capture the feeling and trouble I had within the beautiful score he had written around my music, and in secret it brought me to tears.

A few days later we took the song to audio wizard Joe at Joe Reeves Mastering where we cut the track in one afternoon.

This experience has been probably my favourite collaboration to date and one I will cherish for a long time.

Id like to give a special mention and thank you to Leo Polchar for playing on the track, and also to Lisa Coley at Sontronics for help with equipment and for supporting me over the years.

All the footage was shot and edited by myself.

What’s new.

Posted October 15, 2014 By JG Admin

Hi guys.

Sorry I haven’t posted anything interesting in awhile, we’ve all been very very busy in wrapping up the new EP. I can now safely say after several delays, the EP will be out in November!

This new bulk of work I feel is the best representation of myself and music that I’ve recorded to date. I honestly can’t wait to show you this new record! I know in the past few years I’ve slowed down in the amount of records I churn out, so I hope you will all be pleased with this EP. A lot of preparation went into this record rather than just turning up to the studio and seeing what happens. I feel that everyone on this record in terms of musicality and playing is at their peak, and am so happy that I had them on board to cut this record.

Your also see I’ve added a new load of dates to the shows tab, I hope you can make them.

We’ve got lots of exciting plans installed for the New Year, I’m looking to do my 1st tour since April 2013. But I will provide more info on that when I have some myself.

Thanks everyone for being so patient with me, hope to see you all very very soon.

Love JG xx
